Sony are setting the bar high for their 2022 TV range, with the first consumer QD-OLED TV, promising better brightness and more consistent colour. Sony currently use panels from LG Display


for their OLED TVs, tuning them with their own processing. Now the Sony Bravia XR A95K will include a QD-OLED (Quantum Dot Organic Light Emitting Diiode) panel through Samsung Display. This


will come in 55″ and 65″ sizes, with 4K resolution. This progressive new display has been on the cards from Samsung for some time now, and is set to combine the perfect blacks and infinite


contrast of OLED, with the improved brightness and vivid colour reproduction of quantum dot LED TVs. Sony will still get panels from LG Display for their 2022 OLEDs the  80K and A90K, while


the A95K will have four HDMI inputs, two with full HDMI 2.1 capabilities. All of Sony’s latest OLED units will support 4K gaming at 120Hz, auto HDR tone mapping on a PS5, and auto low


latency mode. Continuing to come with Google TV software, Sony will also still offer branded features such as XR OLED Contrast Pro, XR Triluminos Max for the A95 K or Pro for other models.,
