In an interview with TechRadar, Lenovo’s Matt Lazare has said that a Chrome OS-variant of the company’s new 2-in-1 Yoga Book might be on the cards. Lenovo’s new 2-in-1 Yoga Book features a
unique Halo touchscreen keyboard and is tipped to be one of the hottest products revealed at this year’s IFA conference. Lazare told TechRadar that “Chrome OS is something that we’re
thinking very seriously about, especially with the big upgrades coming down the road that will allow access to the Android app ecosystem.” “You should look for us to take this hardware
platform in Yoga Book and make waves on that front. Obviously you’ll hear more about that down the road.” Given the Yoga Book’s unique keyboard, it’d be a great fit for Chrome OS –
especially since Google added support for the Android apps to the platform. Australian pricing for the Yoga Book hasn’t been confirmed but if a Chromebook version does happen, it’ll likely
sit somewhere between the US$600 and US$730 price-points for the Android and Windows-based devices.
