Donald Trump made his return to the White House on January 20, 2025, after winning a contentious election. With his second term, Trump promised to bring a renewed sense of energy and bold

action to his presidency, continuing to pursue his signature “America First” agenda. Has he delivered on his promises?

As he approaches his first 100 days in office, here’s a look back at some of the key actions that have shaped his time in office so far.

Trump wasted no time signing executive orders to target his campaign promises – he signed the most executive orders in his first 100 days than any president since Harry S. Truman, for a

total of 129.

His executive orders covered a range of issues, from immigration reform and mass deportations, to tariffs, cutting federal spending, and scaling back the federal workforce.

On the economic front, Trump aimed to address inflation and boost the American economy. Perhaps most notable are his trade plans and tariffs.

On April 2 (dubbed “Liberation Day”), he announced a baseline 10% tax on nearly all U.S. imports, with additional reciprocal tariffs on imports from 90 countries. A month later, Trump

reversed course on the reciprocal tariffs and put a 90-day pause on the plan, while still raising tariffs on China to 145%.

According to a Pew Research Center survey conducted in early April, 59% of Americans disapprove of the administration’s tariff increases, while 39% approve.

Immigration remains one of Trump’s most prominent issues, with his administration pushing to tighten asylum laws, increase deportations, and crackdown on so-called sanctuary cities like

Boston.

His stance on immigration has been both praised by his supporters and criticized by opponents, particularly regarding the detainment of international students and the revocation of student

visas.

As Trump reaches his 100 days on April 30, the nation finds itself reflecting on the last four months. His presidency has already brought sharp divides, with strong support from his base and

deep opposition from critics. Whether his agenda will succeed in creating lasting change or lead to further polarization remains to be seen.

With a second term now underway, how would you grade Donald Trump’s first 100 days? Has he delivered on his promises and your priorities?
