GIFT BAG FOR FIRST 150 CUSTOMERS Inside five of the gift bags was a ticket which entitled lucky fans to adidas trainers of their choice. At the front of the queue was lifelong Villan Kira

Swain from Bartley Green. Article continues below Speaking to BirminghamLive, she said: "To be fair, I got here at 5am so I wasn't expecting a long line. "It's wicked to

be a Villa fan right now, especially with the women's team kicking on. "This has been long overdue, we used to have a shop here before, and it's great to have one inside the

Bullring. "I'm excited and the queue is packed with people still joining now. "I can come back and say I was the first person through the doors." Season ticket holder

Chloe Hurd made the drive from Derby to be among the first and was keen to see the new away kit. She said: "I'm really excited to see the new away shirt, but to be honest, I'm

just excited to see the whole thing. "It's crazy being an Aston Villa fan because there's so many ups and downs with it. "The jackets and the hoodies would be one of my

favourite things to get from the adidas section, but I love their trainers too. "There's been so many different talks and photos about what the shop is like. "I don't

really know what I'm in for, but I'm excited." Cory Donnelly made the Bullring trip ahead of a busy day at school and couldn't help shooting a playful shot at Birmingham

City. He said: "This period is probably the best in my lifetime as a Villa fan. "Last season was good, but it was a bit disappointing to lose in the FA Cup to Crystal Palace.

"It's still a good time to be a Villa fan, all the Blues fans think they're better but they are in the Championship. "I'd be keen to get some trainers and pick up an

Aston Villa retro shirt when it opens. "This is something Blues will never have." Article continues below The new shop will be open from 9am-8pm on weekdays and 11am-5pm on

weekends.
