rule parents flying with childen under-12 must obey. Ryanair, which is rivalled by Jet2, TUI and Easyjet, says it recommends that you reserve your seat when booking or when checking in. This
is "to guarantee a seat beside your travel companions. If you choose not to reserve a seat," the airline - which flies from Birmingham - has said. It warns a seat will be randomly
allocated to you free of charge when checking in, but it is unlikely it will be beside your travel companions. Ryanair said: “For safety reasons, children under the age of 12 must sit

"This ensures parents of young children sit together during the flight. This will also allow you to check-in for your flight 60 days before departure." Ryanair went on to explain:
"It is not mandatory for any other adults or teenagers in the booking to reserve a seat, however they may choose to do so if they wish to seat with the rest of the family.” Reserved
seats cannot be removed from your booking, and refunds are not possible once purchased. Ryanair has also explained how passengers can purchase EXTRA seats for comfort, too. Article continues
below "Firstly, purchase two full-fare flight tickets. Book the first ticket in your name. Then for your second ticket, enter ‘EXTRA’ as the first name and ‘COMFORT SEAT’ as the last
name. ‘EXTRA COMFORT SEAT’ will then be added to your reservation," Ryanair says. "When checking in online, the same travel document details will be added for you and your extra
seat," it states.
