A WOMAN SHARED A VIDEO OF HERSELF ON A PLANE, LOOKING ANXIOUS AND UNCOMFORTABLE AS SHE SIPPED HER DRINK. SHE CLAIMED TO HAVE HAD A MORTIFYING EXPERIENCE EARLIER IN THE FLIGHT 14:45, 21 May
2025 A woman has shared her mortifying experience on a flight after a seemingly innocent gesture was met with a stern response from a cabin crew member. Lucie Fink, in a short clip posted
online, can be seen sitting uncomfortably in her seat on an unnamed airline, sipping a drink and looking around anxiously. The reason for her discomfort? A rather unpleasant interaction she
had with a flight attendant moments before. In the caption of the video, Lucie wrote: "I'm DONE. I'm one of those people for whom touch just comes naturally. A hand on the
arm, a quick shoulder squeeze - it's how I show warmth and connection. But I'm learning not everyone likes that." So, what exactly happened to leave Lucie so horrified? Lucie
explained the situation over the video, writing: "The flight attendant passed my seat with the drinks cart, and I thought she skipped our row. "So I touched her arm gently and said
'Sorry, when you get a chance, can I trouble you-'." However, before Lucie could finish her sentence, the cabin crew member allegedly interrupted her, saying: "Do not
touch the flight attendants." Article continues below Lucie, who only wanted to politely catch the flight attendant's attention, was left shocked by the blunt response. Reflecting
on the incident, Lucie admitted that perhaps she "shouldn't have tapped her," but added that the encounter had left her so upset that it had "ruined her entire
week". She revealed she was 'spiralling,' and confessed that such exchanges 'haunt' her 'for years,' fearing she'd 'never recover' as
she'd perpetually replay the incident in her mind. However, she found solace in online reactions, noting that "the comments on this were so validating and like a much-needed
therapy session" for her. A flight attendant chimed in, expressing displeasure towards passengers who "poke or prod," but clarified a gentle tap is acceptable, encouraging her
to "enjoy your drink, kick back, and relax," rather than stress over the interaction. Another crew member weighed in: "I hateee when passengers touch me, but to make them
feel bad about it, almost like they were contagious? Lol, that's kinda mean." Article continues below One traveller aired their grievances about an encounter with a drinks trolley:
"So when they touch you with the drink cart, should we freak out saying don't touch me? Push that cart better." A respondent snapped back: "Or don't have your feet
and arms hanging out in the aisle?" with another surmising, "If they're hitting you with the cart, then your body is where it doesn't belong." Despite some
understanding, others scolded her for touching the attendant, advising she should've used the "call light" or simply said "excuse me", questioning, "Do you
touch a waitress in a restaurant?"
