Kate Middleton 'takes hard decision' to change her imageThe Princess of Wales has reportedly made a change to how much will be shared about her fashion choices when she carries out Royal
engagements in the futureNewsPhoebe Tonks Overnight Reporter and Lauran O'Toole13:19, 02 Feb 2025Updated 13:20, 02 Feb 2025No details of the Princess's outfits on her previous two
engagements were announced(Image: (Image: Getty)) The Princess of Wales is said to be uncomfortable with the emphasis on her fashion choices during public engagements, preferring the
spotlight to be on her charitable work. Since marrying Prince William in April 2011, Kensington Palace has often provided details of Kate's attire to certain media outlets.
However, this is set to change following a recent health issue that has altered her outlook, leading her to seek less attention for her clothing, according to reports. It's understood that
while Kensington Palace might still disclose outfit information for major occasions, it will refrain from doing so for regular Royal engagements.
A palace insider indicated that the mother-of-three wants to maintain focus on "the issues, people, and causes she is spotlighting", rather than what she wears. She acknowledges the
inevitable public interest in her style choices.

"There is an absolute feeling that it [the public work] is not about what the princess is wearing," a source told The Times. "There will always be an appreciation of what the princess is
wearing from some of the public and she gets that.

Kate mentioned that the princess understands why her fashion would be a point of interest at high-profile events such as film premieres or the Trooping of the Colour, reports the Mirror.
However, Kate found it "enormously difficult" to deal with the constant attention on her fashion choices rather than her charitable work, particularly when she first began her Royal duties.
A source revealed: "[She] was going out and doing the work she was interested in and was hugely important to her, and people just talked about what she was wearing."
Notably, no details about her outfits were disclosed during her two recent engagements in South Wales. One of these engagements took place on Thursday at Corgi, a family-run business in
Ammanford, near Swansea, which specialises in handmade socks and knitwear. She also visited a children's hospice.
