SOLIHULL ARDEN CLUB PLANS FOR NEW SQUASH COURT, SAUNA AND STEAM ROOM REVEALED 14:56, 21 May 2025 A sports venue has revealed its ambitious plans to expand with new facilities. Solihull Arden


Club had applied to Solihull Council to build a new squash court, sauna and steam room at its Sharmans Cross Road-based home. The application, submitted to the authority on May 6, also

ground floor extension also includes toilets, a lobby and space for a jacuzzi. The new squash court would become the seventh at the venue and includes 44 seats for spectators to watch the


action. The applicant highlights that if the scheme gets the go-ahead from Solihull planners it plans to take on an additional six part time employees to meet demand. No further details have


as yet been included in the application which is now on the council’s website. It is unclear whether a final decision will be made by Solihull Council 's planning officers or if it


will go before the authority’s planning committee. It is the latest application to expand the site which already offers tennis and squash courts and a fitness gym. As the Local Democracy


Reporting Service reported in 2019 the club was successful in an application for four padel courts despite residents’ concerns about potential noise. The club were given approval for those


courts, as well as floodlighting and 10 extra car parking spaces, after the applicant argued the expansion was "vitally important" to its future. A consultation is now underway
