brought huge moments at home and abroad.


Nationally, 1995 saw the 'Battle of Britpop', the meteoric rise of boybands including East 17 Boyzone and pubs being allowed to stay open all through Sunday afternoon.


‌ It was also the year that hit US sitcom Friends debuted on British television after gaining cult following in the US a year earlier.


‌ We were pretty busy here in Birmingham too.


From culture defining moments to the everyday - Brummies were out and about and living life in 1995.

We also found a cracking picture of a young Gareth Southgate in his Villa days, celebrating his England call up.
