With the upcoming bank holiday on Monday, May 26, those expecting cash that day will get it sooner. An official Government update on X, previously Twitter, has sought to update households on


the situation. Article continues below The post said that benefit payments "are usually paid on a different date than usual if they're due on a bank holiday" and urged


recipients to "double check yours on GOV.UK". The notice also stated: "Changes to benefits payments. With the Spring bank holiday falling on Monday 26 May, you'll receive


most payments on Friday 23 May instead." Earlier this month, similar adjustments were made due to the Early May bank holiday. Since there are no bank holidays in June or July, payment


dates should remain unchanged after May until at least August.
