abuse came to light. Survivors were abused between the 1990s and 2000s in Staffordshire. Nicholas McCabe was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court today, Tuesday, February 4 after he was


found guilty of 25 crimes in August. The 57-year-old, of Ipstones, Staffordshire, was locked up for 27 years following his court trial. The offences ranged from rape of a girl under 16 to


sexual assault on a female 13 and over. His crimes emerged after one of the survivors came forward to Staffordshire Police in 2020. More survivors later told officers what had happened to

counts of the rape of a girl under 16 * Four counts of the rape of a woman * Eight counts of the indecent assault of a girl under 16 * Three counts of sexual assault on a female 13 and over


* Two counts of sexual assault on a female Staffordshire Police praised the "immeasurable bravery" of the survivors who secured 'strong evidence' to see him found guilty


of all 25 crimes. A spokesperson for the force said: "When one of them bravely came forward and told us what happened in 2020, we started work to compile all of the evidence possible


to take McCabe to court. More survivors then came forward to support the investigation. "Thanks to the immeasurable bravery of the survivors, we were able to secure all of the evidence


needed to charge McCabe with 25 offences. Because the evidence was so strong, the jury deemed him guilty on all 25 of these offences at an earlier hearing." Article continues below He
