'TWISTED' PAEDOPHILE DANIEL CLARKE GROOMED VULNERABLE BOYS WHILE WORKING AS A SPECIAL NEEDS ASSISTANT AT A SCHOOL IN SOLIHULL AND SEPARATELY, AS A PERSONAL ASSISTANT 19:23, 20 May

2025 Meriden and Solihull East MP Saqib Bhatti has written to the Attorney General to push for a tougher sentence for convicted West Midlands paedophile Daniel Clarke. Mr Bhatti has referred

twisted Solihull school worker Clarke to the Unduly Lenient Sentence Scheme which allows anyone to ask for certain Crown Court sentences to be reviewed by the Attorney General’s office if

they think the sentence is too lenient. The parliamentarian said he had been contacted by constituents who had been directly affected by the case and issued a plea that Clarke's

sentence is reviewed and he is "properly punished." READ MORE: Special needs teaching assistant played twisted 'truth or dare' sex games with boys 28-year-old Daniel

Clarke met his victims while working at a SEND school in Solihull and through his role with a Midlands charity which organised activities for children with special educational needs. He also

worked as an out-of-hours personal assistant hired by parents. Article continues below Clarke could be one of the most prolific sex offenders in the UK, as detectives believe there may be

more than 80 potential victims, many of whom are yet to be identified from the period of his offending. Clarke played twisted 'truth or dare' sex games with his victims, filmed his

abuse and kept a list of the boys he recorded. One victim went on to express suicidal thoughts and asked his mother to 'buy him a casket' out of distress. Clarke, of Signal Grove,

Bloxwich, admitted making indecent photographs of children, three counts of sexual assault of a child, two counts of sexual activity with a child and three counts of causing or inciting a

child to engage in sexual activity between 2013 and 2024. He was handed an extended sentence of 12 years at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Thursday, May 15. It means that he must serve at

least two-thirds of his seven year and six month jail term and will be subject to an extended licence period of four and a half years. He was also barred for life from working with children,

handed a sexual harm prevention order and told he must remain on the sex offenders register for life. _YOU CAN READ OUR REPORT FROM COURT, AND VICTIM STATEMENTS, HERE._ But MP Saqib Bhatti

said this is not enough. Mr Bhatti said he was made aware of the case through communications with constituents who have been directly affected by this case. In a letter to the Attorney

General, The Rt Hon Lord Hermer KC, Mr Bhatti said: "I am horrified to learn about these horrific crimes committed by Daniel Clarke. "As a father myself, I cannot begin to

comprehend the pain and anguish felt by the parents, and the rest of the community, who are disgusted by Mr Clarke’s acts. “The crimes committed by Mr Clarke are of such a heinous and

serious nature that I feel the sentence handed down to him, that of 7 years imprisonment, is not reflective of the seriousness and extent of his crimes. "That is why I have written to

the Attorney General to ask that he review the sentence handed down by the Crown Court and refer the sentence to the Unduly Lenient Scheme. Article continues below “Criminals who commit

crimes of this grievous nature should face the full force of the law. That is why I am urging the Attorney General to ensure Mr Clarke is properly punished for his unconscionable and

horrendous crimes.”
