said he would like to see more races at the track, which he said is one of the best in southern NSW.

While the club's manager and secretary Rob Tweedie said racing is a "small industry" within the region, he described it as a "community that brings people together".


"We don't have much down here so it's about socialising," Mr Tweedie said.


"It's not just about gambling and drinking, but it's also a good place to get out and do something.


"Socialising is good for your mental health, so it benefits the community for people who are a bit lonely."
