ABOUT Sibora Gjecovi Cooke, MSW, is a senior research advisor and data analytics manager in AARP Research, where she assists colleagues across the association in making informed, data-driven
decisions on a wide range of issues while employing diverse research methods. Gjecovi Cooke manages several proprietary, syndicated, and public use data sources as well as AARP’s geoportal,
which houses hundreds of maps and data relevant to AARP's work. Before joining AARP, Gjecovi Cooke conducted qualitative and quantitative research on a number of social issues,
primarily those impacting low-income communities, women and immigrants. She earned a master's in social work with a focus on planning, research, and non-profit management from the
Catholic University of America. She also has a graduate certificate in survey methodology from the Joint Program in Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland. She received a
bachelor's in both social work and international studies from Cornerstone University in Michigan. Although Gjecovi Cooke’s primary function at AARP is internally facing, she has
