DELOITTE PROMISING 'MULTI-YEAR TECHNICAL TRAINING PROGRAMMES' TO HELP PEOPLE INTO TECH 12:28, 21 May 2025 A global finance giant is creating 100 tech jobs in Greater Manchester as
the city keeps growing its reputation as an AI hub. Financial advisory firm Deloitte is launching a technology centre at its office at 100 Embankment in Salford. The centre will launch with
50 of the firm’s existing tech specialists joining forces to work on areas including AI, app design and cloud engineering. But over the next three years, Deloitte hopes to create another100
jobs. It says it particularly wants to support people looking to take their first steps into tech, and so is promising “multi-year technical training programmes”. Deloitte says its expansion
is “contributing to the North West’s growing reputation as a leading hub for technology innovation and talent”. Jo Ahmed, Deloitte’s boss in the North West, said: “Bringing a dedicated
technology centre to the North West is a major step forward for our regional practice, ensuring we can continue supporting the evolving the needs of our clients. “With our region fast
becoming a powerhouse for digital and technological talent, our investment will further support Greater Manchester’s ambition to be a leading digital and AI demonstrator region. I'm
particularly excited about the opportunities these centres create for people wanting to start a new career in technology. Article continues below “I look forward to welcoming our 50 existing
technologists to the new centre, and tripling the headcount with many more talented individuals as we grow this business over the next three years and create jobs for the future.” Deloitte
is also expanding its tech centres in Belfast, Cardiff, and Newcastle, and is aiming to to grow its tech business from 750 to 1,500 people. Rob Cullen, managing partner for Technology &
