Daniel Dubois needed just two minutes and 10 seconds to stop Ghanaian Ebenezer Tetteh at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday night. Dubois, two months removed from his win over Nathan Gorman in

July, claimed the Commonwealth title with a routine triumph to add to his Southern Area, English and British belts. Tetteh was unbeaten coming into this fight but had never fought outside of

Ghana. And he was outclassed by Dubois, who floored him twice en route to improve his record to 13-0. Tetteh wanted to continue and was not happy with the referee's decision to wave

off the fight but was clearly second best. Dubois' knockout was the 12th of his career and his fourth in the opening round, having also stopped Marcus Kelly, David Howe and AJ Carter

early all in 2017. Speaking afterwards, the 22-year-old - from Greenwich, London - said: "It was a great performance. "Thanks to everyone for their support and turning up tonight.

I did what I had to do, I worked the jab and everything I worked on in training I put into practice." Elsewhere on the night, Nicola Adams retained her WBO flyweight title after a

controversial draw with Mexico's Maria Salinas. Adams had not fought for 11 months and showed clear signs of ring rust on her return to action. Salinas clearly felt she had won the

fight, but only one judge gave it to her by the score of 96-94. Another judge scored it 97-93 to Adams, with a third seeing it as a 95-95 draw. There certainly appeared to be sympathy for

Salinas judging by the reaction of some of the crowd at the famous London venue. Archie Sharp was also victorious, brutally knocking out Declan Geraghty in the fourth round. Geraghty had

been on top until being put out cold by the Dubliner. Sharp said after his win: “That was a shot I’ve been working on, it was just a matter of time to land it. “Fair play to Declan he had a

lot of work in there for the first couple of rounds I was down on the scorecards. “But it’s about patience and being mature and not looking for it. “It’s a great result a great finish and I

made a good statement. He’s a very good fighter." BOXING RESULTS LIVE: Daniel Dubois _BEAT_ Ebenezer Tetteh 1ST ROUND TKO Nicola Adams _DRAW_ Maria Salinas SPLIT DECISION DRAW Archie
