HAS YOUR SWITCH 2 ARRIVED WITH THE SEALS BROKEN? YOU'RE NOT ALONE, AND WE'VE REACHED OUT FOR COMMENT AS FANS FEAR THEIR NEW NINTENDO HARDWARE HAS BEEN TAMPERED WITH 14:41, 05 Jun

2025Updated 15:01, 05 Jun 2025 The Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World are finally here, and while many of us are enjoying the console (or simply reading our live blog), some UK buyers

have been concerned about the way the system has been delivered. Posting on Reddit, one fan noted that his console from Currys has a broken seal, suggesting the product may have been

tampered with, or that someone had tried to claim the Mario Kart World inside. However, it is unknown whether or not the issue is from Nintendo itself rather than retailers. While other

commenters shared the same story, notably with the Mario Kart World bundle, it's so widespread that we have a theory on what's going on. SWITCH 2 SEAL BROKEN? YOU'RE NOT ALONE

"Who else picked up a Switch 2 + Mario Kart World from Currys and found that the seal on the box was already broken?" the original poster said. While some commenters noted the

same, others suggested that retailers like Argos and John Lewis also had the seals removed. Article continues below One new console owner even ordered theirs via Nintendo and still found the

seal was broken. We've reached out to Currys for comment, although the fact this doesn't appear to be restricted to a single retailer is actually encouraging. We'd imagine

there's a chance that the console is shipping with seals broken so that staff can add the redemption codes for Mario Kart World, but be sure to check your console's packaging to

ensure everything is included. One commenter on the Reddit thread also suggested that the console is shipping with seals of "insufficient strength", but we'd recommend staying

vigilant just to be safe. Another said "Mine from Argos. Seal was broken. Friends came from Curry’s also broken." "Both Mario Kart editions. Argos team said they had

submitted complaint to Nintendo about it," they added, suggesting we'll find out one way or the other very soon. Curry's and Argos have been contacted for comment. For more on
